ALTRUISTIC LOVE

ALTRUISM is defined as the belief in or practice of disinterested and selfless concern for the well being of others.  In the field of Zoology, Altruism is defined as the behavior of an animal that benefits another at its own expense.  Some synonyms include: UNSELFISH, selfless, compassionate, kind, public-spirited, charitable, benevolent, beneficent, philanthropic, humanitarian.

When we love for love's sake and not for any reward, we are living altruistic love.  If we begin to teach children at a young age that the natural way of living and loving is an altruistic way, then the world will quickly transform to a family that takes care of one another.  It is how most of us are living on the planet right now.  The challenge is to breathe and live patience, wisdom, compassion and understanding for those who have yet begun to reform into a higher way of living.

Love is a universal law that infuses and supports all life's energy.  It stands on the side of promoting, through peace and tolerance, the diverse unity that is life on our planet.  Practice sharing some altruistic love today.  Go ahead, make a difference in someone else's day, and see how yours brightens as a result!

Go Love,
Lisa
