ALTRUISM is defined as the belief in or practice of disinterested and selfless concern for the well being of others. In the field of Zoology, Altruism is defined as the behavior of an animal that benefits another at its own expense. Some synonyms include: UNSELFISH, selfless, compassionate, kind, public-spirited, charitable, benevolent, beneficent, philanthropic, humanitarian.
When we love for love's sake and not for any reward, we are living altruistic love. If we begin to teach children at a young age that the natural way of living and loving is an altruistic way, then the world will quickly transform to a family that takes care of one another. It is how most of us are living on the planet right now.
