Go Love on the move

Well, my own efforts to Go Love include filling the bird feeders about 1,000,000 times in our snow scape backyard for all the blue jays, juncos, doves, chickadees, finches, and the resident favorite hairy woodpecker.  Oona the Coon cat appreciates the refills, too, as she squats in wait beneath the cedar tree hoping to be a bird eater.  She has had no such luck to date.

Speaking of luck and date, it is St. Paddy's day, the old Christian who drove the Goddess out of Ireland, or at least sent her deep underground.  Although I live with a couple of Irish, we are not celebrating St. Paddy's shenanigans!

I had a great time on Friday the 13th celebrating my niece Katie's 13th birthday.  Now there is some witchy energy for you!  She is a little goddess in the making and is growing up very quickly. We had a tasty dinner out in Portsmouth and she then prepared the next day for a raging disco dance party, replete with strobe light from Spencer's gifts, for more than 20 kids.   She enjoyed the present I created for her, a photo album with pix from over her first 13 years on the planet, and told me the back massage I gave her was the most meaningful gift of all.  I was so thrilled to be there to celebrate her, my chica rica~

More Go Love energy has been channelled into planning for the farming season; Laurie has leek and scallion seedlings growing in the farmhouse kitchen and I have put in my order for a new flock of 15 baby chix.  I'll begin the design for the new coop soon, but we still have about 4 feet of snow out back!  The sun is gorgeous and glowing bright and I hope you are enjoying it in your corner of the universe.  I have recently been introduced to Face book and love this way to connect with people who I've long lost touch with, but who've remained in my heart!

Hope to generate some readership and interest from a broader audience soon to get Go Love rolling!  Let's hear from you once you come across this page.  Just click on the envelope to leave a comment.
Go Love,
Lisa

  2. Hi Lisa. Found your profile while searching for Bowdoin,Maine.
I don't watch television and hate the news...as you say,it's all negative, depressing and unhappy stuff.
I hope you are able to get some people posting here. This is the kind of messages I like to read.
I'm looking at the piles of snow in my yard too;wondering why the houses a mile down the road have brown grass showing...I think I'm the last person in Bowdoin to have the snow melt!
Watching the Kennebec in Richmond and wishing to be there when the ice breaks and roars out to sea...(good riddance!)
Glad to see the deer again.....hope they stay out of the roads and waiting to open the windows and hear the Spring peepers...
I get the chance to share sunshine and love with the residents who live where I work...good for them and great for me!

  3. Thanks for writing. Linda! I love that handle "Enchanted Spirit," it resonates for me. I am glad we are having a slower melt this spring, better than the deluge of previous years, but am eager to begin my chicken coop renovation/expansion project. Our micro-climate in Bowdoin leaves us under several feet of snow in places still, so you have solidarity about its slow rate of removal at your place. I love the idea of being at the Kennebec to witness the ice break and flow. Sounds powerful!
Haven't seen the deer friends yet on Lewis Hill Rd., but I too love their graceful ways and the heralding of warmth and creative urges! Glad the residents have such a loving heart looking after them! Also, nice to hear from a kindred spirit in Bowdoin as it feels hard at times to know who really does live in our town! Hope you'll write again.
    Spring warmth,
    Lisa
